In the average day of a teenager's life:
Parent: [the standard question] What did you do today, [endearment or name here]?
Teen: [in an attempt to brush the parent off] Oh, nothing... Just learned to shower under a cold-water trickle.
Although being on the fourth floor seemed great yesterday morning when I accidentally dropped my shoes on the floor rather loudly, last night's icy showers were a bit of a drawback (but I guess it's expected in college dorms). I don't know if it happened throughout the building, but if the hot water has to be pumped up through all the other floors filled with girls showering first, then the fourth floor had only a freezing drip coming out of the nozzles. Somehow, even the sinks had a lot more water coming out. Alas, we will simply have to learn early how to shower like water-deprived college students.
