Culminating 1 Week

Sigh. Just 1 week ago, we were all standing out on the green, nervously receiving our room keys and dorm assignments, not knowing what to expect from this COSMOS program. I quickly found my niche, as I have made some great friends here in just one week. I have great suit mates, and some of the people I have met in my Cluster will be some of my best friends after COSMOS. My class has been absolutely terrific, even better than I had expected to be. The lab section of our class is such a great experience for applying the knowledge that we gain in the classroom into real world products. My professors have done a wonderful job of organizing labs that reinforce what we learned in the classroom, but also that allow us to be creative and expand our knowledge by experimenting with our own ideas. In just a few days with tons of appreciated help from Arash and Bridget, I have been able to program in C for the first time, and even program my computer chip to do something that I just thought of, not something that had instructions for it. I can't thank them enough for all the help they have given me with learning C and about the PSoC programs. I am learning so much in this course, and I am ecstatic about my final projects. I think that I will have a great time and learn a lot while completing it. The food here is okay, but I am hoping that the rumors about us getting to go to the Price Center for lunch come true, because that would definitely open up for some much needed variety. All in all, this first week has been far more than I ever expected it to be. My only concern is that next 3 weeks are going to fly by too fast. That's all for now. Bye!
