Four Days?

It is hard to believe that we have been at UCSD for only 4 days. Since I last posted, quite a few things happened. Tuesday night I began researching for the research paper that was assigned. After fooling around and not getting much done, it was activities time. I made some paper airplanes then played soccer. On Wednesday morning I went running again, followed by breakfast. In class we learned the basics of electronics from Prof. Gupta, then our TA started to teach us "C" programming language. That afternoon was lab time, where I learned to manipulate the voltage meter and LED display on our circuit boards. After dinner, I completed my 2-3 page research paper. Our activity for last night was a beach bonfire. We were shuttled to the shores of La Jolla, where we made smores with a surprisingly small bonfire.

Today I woke up at 6.30 a.m. again for a morning run, where we passed by campus art pieces such as the Sungod and Stonehenge. Following breakfast, we went over the the iconic campus library, Geisel Library, where a librarian explained to us all of the resources UC offers and how to access them. After the library tour, we began our second Science Communication class, where we gave brief oral summaries of our research papers. Lunch today was very good, as it was the first time Cafe Ventanas had a tofu dish. After lunch we had more lab time. Watch for updates to learn more about Cluster 1!
