It has been just over 1 day now that I have attended COSMOS, and I am really enjoying it! I love how everything is perfectly planned and I have something to do the entire time. Also, my roommates, cluster mates, and RA's are really friendly and helpful. This has been a great experience so far, and I am looking forward to more activities and classes.
I was very happy with the great food options, especially for vegetarians. I am a vegetarian and know that it is not always easy to find good food. However, at Cafe Ventanas the food tastes really good and we have a wide variety.
The only low point I have had so far is my sleep. I had trouble sleeping last night, and woke up pretty early this morning. I am sure as I get adjusted to this new room and environment, that will improve as well.
In my cluster today, Embedded Computer Systems, we learned a lot and had lots of fun too. In the morning, there was an informative lecture about computers, and I was taught about Binary and Hexadecimal systems as well. In the afternoon, it was time for the hands-on part. I completed Lab 1, which was to create a program so that the LED's would all turn on, and then slowly dim off, with 1 second intervals. It was a great learning process and very fun. I am looking forward to more labs.
Overall, I am very glad that I came to COSMOS. I am having a great time, and sure that this month will be absolutely amazing. Thanks to everybody who made this program so successful, and I hope that everyone's adventure is as great as mine.
